Julian Cannonier

Ensemble

Born in Yorkshire, England, Julian trained from the age of 5 at the Audrey Spencer school of dance. 

Julian first appeared in London's West End as 'Cagey Joe' in the original production of "Bugsy Malone".  Other West End credits include  Sir Trevor Nunn's production of "Porgy and Bess" at the Savoy Theatre, "125th Street", "Annie Get Your Gun", "A Tribute to Sammy Davis Jnr.", "Starlight Express", "Five Guys Named Moe" , two seasons with "Miss Saigon" and "Dancing in the Streets." He is delighted at the prospect of appearing at the Palladium once more in Sister Act.

Julian most recently appeared on the BBC in "Your Country Needs You" with the Emperors of Soul.  He spent last Christmas appearing at Tilbury Docks in "The Twelve Days of Christmas" and prior to this he filmed the feature film "Dorian Gray".

Other credits include the feature film "De-Lovely" with Kevin Kline, "Up Tight" video for C.J. Lewis, "Five Guys Named Moe" video for Cameron Mackintosh. Julian has also travelled and worked extensively in the UK and Europe and has had the pleasure of appearing as 'Scar' in "The Legend of the Lion King" for Disney and in productions of "Miss Saigon" in Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong. Lengthy tours with shows such as "Annie Get Your Gun", "Once in a Lifetime",  "The Official Tribute to the Blues Brothers", "Tapping Harlem" in which he created the leading role of 'Young Avon', "The Magic of Musicals",  "Oh What a Night!", "Five Guys Named Moe" and  "Viva O Carnival".
